Bea
-bea has started preschool year 2 at the private montessori school. it costs an arm and a leg but she loves it so i guess it's worth it. i was very excited to get her into a montessori program and to have her guide herself through her learning process. it's still new, but i think it will be really great for her. i wish she could stay for kindergarten buttttt it costs (get this) 12,000 a year. soooo no thanks. it's a bummer but we are looking at charter schools for her for next year so hopefully we can find something similar.
-bea has started dance again at the same dance school as last year, only this time she is taking on a full schedule of ballet, tap, and jazz/creative dance all in one 2 hour block. it's kind of annoying because i have to stay the whole time, but oh my gosh it is so worth it. she loves dance so so so much. this dance school is no joke, they mean business, but it feels nice to be back as a second year parent. it's not so scary and intimidating and it's nice to help guide the new moms through. there's also some familiar faces from last year, and a teacher we already know, so i think this year is going to be a great experience. bea is excited to go every week and isn't ready to go when class is over. good sign of a good school.
-she really is a big girl now. not any baby left in her. and her vocabulary is crazy. she is always using words like "prefereable" and "consistent" and "spectacular". i love listening to her talk.
-can i brag? she is really pretty you guys. she was cute and round before but she is growing up and is just turning into a beautiful little girl. love that girl.
-she is finally old enough to understand simple board and card games. she loves to play with us and she can actually hold her own most of the time. breaking into big girl territory is kind of exciting!
-her favorite shows are project runway and so you think you can dance. she matter of factly tells me "when" she is going to be on those shows what she is going to do. she wants to both dance and judge, and design/sew and model.

-the absolute cutest thing in the world has happened. oliver has discovered the word "actually". now, whenever you ask him something he goes "....uhhh.....axchlee......sure." he says sure instead of yes all the time and it is hilarious. which brings me to..
-he is actually a really great talker these days! we took him to the dr the other day for a fever and the dr was amazed at how well he is talking. it's crazy what actually being able to hear will do. those tubes were such a game changer. today after nursery he said goodbye to his teachers, "goodbye! thank you so much!!" i love his little sentences
-he LOVES to be tickled. he comes up to me several times a day and says "TICKLE ME!!" sometimes he wants a tickle fight and sometimes he wants me to scratch his back, which he LOVES. we are definitely related.
-he has the cutest little walk. he has swagger for sure. he walks like a little gangster.
-he LOVES to dance. he wants me to turn music on all the time so he can dance. something that i love is when he is holding something in his carseat, he moves it to the music and yells at me "LOOK MOM! LISTEN! BLANKET DANCIN'!" the other day he put his hands on him bottom and said "MOM LOOK! BUM DANCIN!" it was so so so so so cute.
-his new love is thomas the tank engine. he acutally like percy best. the way he says "PERRSEEE" is just adorable.
