i just finished watching pretty little liars and have acquired that void in my life only more television can fill. i've started gossip girl over once more. and watching the pilot again, knowing what i know now, there are seevvvveral issues. namely:
1. rufus picks up jenny and dan up at GCT even though they live in brooklyn. makes no sense.
2. dan, who is gossip girl, is surprised to see serena at GCT, even though someone JUST sent a tip to gossip girl about her whereabouts. #danisgossipgirl
3. blair's got a different mom. #pilotproblems
4. chuck bass is on a bus. chuck bass? take public transit? as if!
6. chuck mentions stealing a prescription from his mom. isn't his mom dead? or mysteriously vanished? bottom line, his mom is out of the picture. he aint raidin' her medicine cabinet.
7. chuck hits on serena. i'm sorry i just can't even. would. never. happen.
8. blair's room is just all wrong. striped wallpaper?!
9. dan is gossip girl. dan doesn't want to go to the kiss on the lips party. narration: "you know who loves parties? gossip girl." #gossipgirlfail
10. rufus and lily keep talking about how they're up in each other's business because "it's a small island" except for that they live on different islands. {#brooklyn. #manhattan. #differentislands.}
11. i really hate the pilot blaire's mom
13. chuck threatens to end serena's social life. yeah right. they are friends.
BUT IT ALL GETS BETTER FROM THERE {and by that i mean until season 3 and then steadily goes downhill} AND THE ONLY INCONSISTENCY IS THAT DAN IS GOSSIP GIRL AND IT NEVER MAKES SENSE

ReplyDeleteDude, why isn't anyone mentioning this: (after just rewatching season 1, episode 1) IF Dan were Gossip Girl, why would he just simply report on Jenny being Chucke Bass' possible next victim etc. (but not do anything about it for a time after that). Isn't that his sister he was willing to risk getting raped, if he were Gossip Girl, of course!?!?
