I took the dog on a walk today in the woods and it was 45 degrees and rainy but apparently, that is the first stretch of Spring for ya in Connecticut. But I still found some beautiful snapshots of spring, and my phone can't do them justice but I'll post the pictures anyhoo:

These are the New Canaan snow mound burial grounds. (: All those dirt piles are actually the dregs of our blizzard-ridden winter, laid to rest under fresh, soft, soil. |
Those are not evergreens, my friends! Those are genuine new green leafy vines on the trees!!! |
This is what happens when snow melts! Creeks with little baby waterfalls! |
All the green is dying to peek through all the DEATH on the ground! |
It gets so wet here, that the ground gets too soft, muddy, and wet to support such large heavy trees. Rather that grow deep in the ground, the roots create a shallow network of roots between each other. Sadly, since these networks are so shallow, the trees are easily toppled :( Trees fall down a lot here. |
See that pretty stone house in the background and the little stone wall in the foreground? The green is slowly taking over the ground! There's all that pachysandra and ivy in the back and some random bulbs in the front. Pretty!!! |
I don't know what these are but they are popping up everywhere, along with the daffodils and crocuses. Pretty soon I will be drowning in flowers, I cannot wait! |
New England is one of the prettiest parts of the country. And our Springs are better than ANYWHERE in the world. When we get more flowers I will definitely post more pictures.
