SPRING

I just wrote an entire post about seasons, and the weirdest thing happened! All of a sudden, my cursor started going backwards and deleted the whole thing letter by letter as if a ghost was going "delete delete delete delete". I couldn't stop it no matter what key I pressed and before I knew it my whole blog post was gone.  Anyway. Here is the long and the short of it. Winter, boo. Every other season but winter, cheers.

But. Now. I will talk about GLEE because honestly, someone has to do it.

Let me start off by saying that I loved this show in the first half of its first season. And I enjoyed it the second half of the first season. I survived through the first half of the second season, and now I AM SUFFERING THROUGH THE SECOND HALF OF THE SECOND SEASON!! "Why do you still watch it then?" asks my very wise husband, and several hundred other friends. I'll tell you why. I have to. I really do. If I don't find out what happens with Finn and Rachel, I will probably lose my mind. And that is the only part of the entire story I care about. That's the problem with Glee ,  none of their characters are lovable. Not a single one. They try to humanize their characters by making them imperfect but they take it a step too far. Each one of them has done at least one thing that makes them completely despicable. And we are supposed to forgive that each episode and go back to loving their every move? Glee doesn't understand pacing very well. Rather than let a story/plot run its course, Glee likes to make everything happen at once. Finn and Kurt's parents are dating? Great they're engaged by the end of the episode and getting married by the end of the next. Blaine doesn't know if he is gay or straight? Boom. Knows by the end of the episode. Jesse wants to go back to Vocal Adrenaline? Boom. He hates Rachel now and gets mad at her for no reason. Emma is dating her dentist? Boom. They're married. I am just getting so tired of it. It's like they're worried they won't get another season so they try to pack the drama in all at once. But guess what, Glee: if your writing continues to royally suck, you DEFINITELY won't get that last season. (alright you probably will because everyone freaking loves you. but your fanbase is still on the decline). But that's not the last of it! All of this edgy crap this half of the season is just comical! They are exploiting teen drinking, irresponsible teen sex, homosexuality (which in and of itself is a real thing that while I don't agree with it, still love those who do. but seriously, they just LOVE TO MAKE PEOPLE GAY IN THIS SHOW! EVEN WHEN THEY ARE NOT GAY! Bi is just another word for slutty. pick a side.) Anyway, this last episode was so ridiculous. Blaine and Kurt were never going to happen, and that would have been realistic and satisfying to me as an audience. But everyone wanted some gay action and so the flag went down and Kurt and Blaine went at it! That is another thing about Glee. Instant gratification. Anything a character wants, they get. Except Rachel. That is why we love the Rachel/Finn saga. Everyone else gets what they care about, and if they don't it doesn't matter because we hate them. It's true. None of the Glee characters are lovable (except like. Brittany). SO sad. Anyway. I'm done ranting. I am just fuming about watching the latest episode on hulu today. I wish the show was as good as it started out to be. Oh well. I still have all my NBC favorites (: Thursday night is tomorrow! The best night in television!!!!
Hopefully spring pictures of all the new flowers up soon!!!!!
